The Princeton Review Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1987 to address the admission test preparation needs of underserved students. The Foundation is the only national nonprofit organization engaged in test preparation outreach. Through a nationwide network of programs, The Princeton Review Foundation helps low-income high school students and college students from underrepresented groups. The Foundation does not provide grant funding; it creates, designs, implements, and monitors a variety of reduced-fee test preparation programs in an attempt to diversify access to those services. The Foundation focuses its high school activities on improving SAT and ACT standardized testing skills and underlying basic skills. Also, the Foundation is interested in high school exit exams, and in college counseling programs that interface with SAT/ACT test preparation. In recent years, the Foundation has increased access to MCAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT test preparation courses both through offerings on college campuses, typically co-sponsored by university pre-professional advisors, and through collaborations with national and local organizations serving minority undergraduate students.
